Commissions
Do you have a space in your home waiting for something lovely to fill it?
Is there a story or memorable place that you'd like to see brought to life in the form of a painting? Would my style and colour palette of work suit your vision? If this rings true, I would love to chat with you about creating a custom painting for you.
How it works
Each piece will be painted in acrylic or oil on a gallery-style wood stretcher with cotton canvas. Once you decide on a size, we can chat about subject matter. Are there any of my previous works that inspire you? Birds, animals, landscape, skyscapes? Are there any photographs in keeping with my style of work you'd like to bring into the conversation?
From there I'll send a rough sketch with a detailed explanation of the colour palette and general direction of the piece. This will ensure we are both in agreement and I can start mixing up the paint!
Paperwork
Commissioned works are an additional 15-20% more than pre-made pieces to account for the time spent customizing your individual piece and all the details that go with it. Before any work begins a 50% commission reservation deposit made when the contract is signed. This serves as a downpayment for your commission. The remaining balance and shipping fees will be paid upon completion of the work.
Time frame
Depending on the time of year a commission can take anywhere from 8-12 weeks. Once the rough is finished the painting process will begin.
